Interesting, as a rails dev who develops mainly on vim, the main reason I've switched to an MBP from a Thinkpad was because of this. Will reconsider a windows laptop again next, if build quality and battery life are comparable.

Another problem is that for startups, these metrics change all the time. Often you start measuring something to diagnose a problem. Once you have done that, you don't need to diagnose it any more. Also, I'm not sure how a few pre

Your definition of burn rate is confusing. Burn rate is just negative cash flow. Not just expenses.

All projects look like this for a while as you discover the full scope of what you are building. One day it will actually start to burn down, and you will look at your task list and it will be empty. You will not believe it for several day

This always felt like overkill to me. a 4 character alpha-numeric code is 36^4 (1.6M) which is fine for new websites. If you run out, add a 5th character which gets you to 60M, and a 6th character gets you 2T.

Can you be more specific on how your tool compares to specific product? I've used many and been disappointed. Yours (from the home page) seems similar to Quip, which is nice but seems a bit clunky and doesn't have enough integra

Even in 2008, there was a lot of denial about the impact of the downturn on Silicon Valley. "And they assert that they are not feeling anything like the pain that followed the collapse of the dot-com bubble, which led to big job losses

We are using zenefits and gusto right now. Gusto is pushing to switch for benefits management, but it's a bunch of work. I feel a little gross about staying with zenefits after hearing about their company, but it's mostly free and

There's some interesting assumptions in berniecare.org buried in variables. Would be nice if they exposed the assumptions instead of burying it in JS. http://berniecare.org/dist/bundle.js

Yeah, this already exists. Slack hasn't added many commands to their marketplace, but if this is at all successful, they will. Don't see how this lives as part of the Slack ecosystem. Maybe their goal is to become standalone.
