That's really cool! I have never seen that project before. I checked our colors compared to the results of the study: Anxiety: #2288ff vs. #595884 (anxious) Hostility: #ee0000 vs. #E0192C (angry) -- hostile only had 100 samples Depression:

It hopefully tells you that we're happy to work with you if you'd like to use sentiment analysis or lexical impact analysis in your company. :) We are focused on B2B applications of our technology rather than the consumer/API side. However,

Thanks. My co-founders [1][2] actually did spend a decent amount of time thinking about this. The emotions are first sorted into negative on the left and positive on the right. The order is for symmetry of left/right side words: - Anxiety i

Oh, I see. The rotation control is kind of strange. Rather than have it control the momentum of the spin, it would be more natural to have the left/right arrows first stop the automatic rotation, then simply rotate at fixed-size intervals.

Very cool. I evolved a goblin face from the "honeycomb monster" on the front page. I wish you could play with the rotation manually rather than having to rely on the gif animation.

I just tried the Excel version. Is there some reason that the line graphs are so ugly? The graphs in Excel 2007/2010 are beautiful, but the 365 graphs are filled with jaggies. See: http://i.imgur.com/KOHSI.png

Seems naive to think they bought OKCupid just for the revenue. The OKCupid guys were awesome at data mining, visualization, and viral marketing. Their ability to enhance the value of Match.com's existing client base is huge.

You also have to account for the other services and facilities that YC provides. I believe pg has mentioned previously that the total cost per startup for YC is about $40k. That would be about a 16x return. Still pretty amazing.
