This is pretty nice. I'll try it out next time I have to look at javadoc. It might be great to improve SEO, so when I search for a Java class in Google, the results show docland. I'm curious. What is "External link resolution

I've built a programmable tooltip on Mac for using at work. You write your own provider script. You can select a text on any app and activate a tooltip to do things like jumping to a URL using that string, converting epoch millis to da

I'm actually having this issue where users import CSV files that don't seem to be valid. DuckDB would throw out an error like: Invalid Closing Quote: found non trimable byte after quote at line 34, Invalid Input Error: Invalid uni

I hope it didn't take too much of your time to ramble all of this. One thing I'm interested in is the dark pattern you accused me of. Users literally cannot use it beyond the trial period if they don't pay, and I don't c

I wasn't trying to hide its price. The price is very obvious on the website. Users can't use it for an extended period of time without paying. You said it like I was tricking people into paying somehow.

In my day job, a customer would ask me to reconcile between 2 giant CSVs very often. Think GBs. When I tell them to do it in Excel by themselves, they would say Excel couldn't open a CSV larger than 1M rows... At first, I was using sql

I doubt sqlite will catch up soon in terms of analytics due to a few below reasons. The SQL dialect is so much lacking that it seems intentional. They are meant to be a transactional database, not an analytics one. Sqlite also takes pride o

That is a good way of development. In a lot of the times, there is no V2 due to 1 of the 2 states: 1. V1 is too successful. You cannot slow down the growth. It is bad, but not as bad as people make it out to be. Many startups are trying ver

I tried many times in the past to manipulate CSVs through command line. The common one is using sqlite. The friction was just so bad that made me hate my job.

This is a really really helpful post. I appreciate a bunch of real-world examples with exact responses and rationale behind them. Many of the communication improvement books, while helpful, don't quite give out a playbook like this. I&
