Not without a torrent of pre-training data. The qualitative differences are rapidly becoming intangible ‘soul’ type things.

There top left has usually been (0, 0) for hardware pixel coordinates (although even then there’s plenty of exceptions, e.g. mode 13h scrolling) but as a blanket statement about computer graphics in general it’s misleading.

Cognitive dissonance really is required to keep our “warm fuzzy empathic friendly” self image while simultaneously being ruthlessly pragmatic cold blooded killers when it suits us.

Could you title your posts in a HN-friendly style and subtitle them with your actual preferred title? And then (if this wouldn’t be considered Poor Form) swap back to the original title once it’s dropped off the front page?

Yeah, bike power has increased significantly. Iirc the age distribution of fatal crashes is double peaked, with one peak in the 20s from young riders who don’t know what they’re doing yet, and another in the late 40s or so from older riders

Yes. The DRZ especially is a dirt bike which is noticeably higher set than a supersports. You pay for it a bit in on-road manoeuvrability though.

Scale is the one thing stereo doesn't get you compared with sequential mono images, unless you have some fancy lens model that lets you derive scale from nonlinearities in the lens. Is that something we do now? I always wanted to try

If you don’t gave a tap handy you can quickly “heat-set” threads in a part. Print the hole slightly undersized (I usually go 0.2-0.4mm under for M3-M4 size screws) so it takes some effort to screw in, then quickly screw the screw all the wa

“View” unfortunately isn’t the same as “Open and edit”, and in business you need to do the latter. Otherwise we’d be 100% libreoffice from the start. Yep, that’s the moat.

“Bricking” isn’t a rigorously defined term, it’s more like “realtime” in the sense that it comes with an implicit “(for this particular user in this particular scenario)”. For most users a device is bricked if it doesn’t turn on and work wh

I’ve been preaching the Gospel of Knobs for decades. When I was a kid, a microwave had a power knob (already at 100) and a time knob (0-45min, with finer gradations for the first 10-20 minutes). To start heating, just twist the time knob to

As I understand it, these models are limited on GPU memory far more than GPU compute. You’d be better off with dual 4070s than with a single 4090 unless the 4090 has more RAM than the other two combined.
