I've seen a similar solution in the swimming pool changing cubicles at a Center Parcs in the UK. The cubicles have two inwards opening doors opposite one another. Once inside, you close both doors and fold down a bench which blocks the

EGPUs sounds great on paper. A graphics card that I can use easily with either my macbook or windows desktop. I really think that could be an exciting way to prolong the life of old hardware or to get decent gaming performance out of non-ga

My understanding is that since High Sierra, Mac OS supports eGPUs natively, but only with AMD GPUs and only using thunderbolt 3: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208544 There are some hacks to get other configurations

You can already disable SMS, phone and location permissions (and others) for each app in the previous version of Android (Oreo). I'm sure this has it too.

Australian cities do tend to have poor public transport, but I don't think the kind of issue you mention will go away, even as transport is improved. In London you quite often have the same issue, and that's a city with excellent

I'm not completely sure it's the same thing, but I remember a technique for picking using colour maps. It's described in this tutorial: http://www.opengl-tutorial.org/miscellaneous/clicking-on-obj...

I agree with that. There are always shades of grey to every argument. However the point that I'm trying to make (maybe badly) is that the Police are different to most other organisations. They're probably closest to healthcare in

That's fine. I don't really understand why you have an issue with concepts like zero tolerance for corruption, police reform, collective responsibility, police accountability. They are fairly commonly held opinions–that individual

Just because you can't see the difference, it doesn't make it irrelevant. By the way - the law agrees with me. Please read about police accountability: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_accountability &quo

But I didn't replace "cops" with "black people", you did. An ethnicity is a completely different thing to a law enforcement agency. edit: If you want me to explain why, I can. A law enforcement agency is a group of

A minority? I don't understand where that argument comes from. A minority generally doesn't hold power - police hold far reaching powers. Minorities normally do not choose to be part of a minority. From wikipedia: "A police f

The author is citing real events. When some cops are corrupt, does it matter that the rest might be decent? An individual police officer represents the entire force. They wear the colours and the badge as a representative of the whole estab

You don't have to use a cycle lane here, but there have been cases in recent years where police have incorrectly stopped/charged someone for not using a cycle lane.

I completely agree. There are similar rules over here about leaving a gap to the kerb, and that there should also be a gap left by overtaking vehicles. Both are often not observed. Here's the (brief) rules for roundabouts: http:/

The highway code says that cyclists should stay to the left. Even on a roundabout with multiple lanes, cyclists are supposed to stay to the left and cycle across exits. I don't ever follow that rule when cycling, it does seem dangerous

Oslo is a very clean city, but it also feels a lot busier now than it looks in these pictures. A lot of the photos were taken around the parliament buildings, the royal palace, and the national theatre, which may explain why the streets are

While you can check seat pitch with seatguru, a lot of airlines don't allow you to choose seats at the time of booking, and some don't allow booking of extra-legroom economy seats at all. Others charge prohibitively expensive fees
