> Is that true in 2013? It's absolutely true and nothing will ever change it. The fact is that likability and fun at the workplace can routinely trump the quality of the output. Especially if the manager is a permanent employee and they

Which if it's the case then they have a shocking lack of understanding of how people actually work. I mean people email every day do we need to get rid of that as well ?

Actually it would be a pointless to use it for the purpose you describe. What truly separates Pixel from a $250 laptop is the retina, touchscreen display which is wasted if you are exclusively using it for VNC.

Chrome and Safari both use WebKit and it handles it terribly. So again. Unless Google has added something magical in recent builds of WebKit that hasn't yet made it to the iPad then it will equally be terrible.

Unless Google has done a lot of work with WebKit then it is going to be a pretty awful experience. You only have to compare the native Google Maps with the web version to know that "touch" is poorly handled by browsers. It is an order of ma

It can boot Linux but the trackpad and touchscreen doesn't work. Again. Why wouldn't you buy a MacBook Pro that is usable out of the box ?

Really. The only thing not making it a 'great' device is the battery life ? You do realise that ALL it does is surf the web ? I don't understand why anybody would buy it over an iPad or a refurbished MacBook Pro. I personally think it is on

The reason wider screens are preferred is because of human's field of view. We see 180 degrees horizontally yet only 135 degrees vertically. So why on earth would you build a screen that requires people to expend more energy to use ?

What a ridiculous argument. You are talking about behavioural issues i.e. not being available for scheduled meetings not something inherent to working remotely. Or to put it more simply: Where's Bob? He should be in this meeting. He's

Exactly. Every single person talking about how working remotely doesn't work can be refuted by open source. And why does no one talk about how working in an office reduces productivity. I know I get far more done at home.

Play is not new. It's been around for years and was the first Java framework of its kind. You know in the time it took you to write that you could have Google'd this information.

Well let's be clear here. In Play 1 development happened on Java first and Scala second. In Play 2 development happened on Scala first and Java second.
