Also external graphics cards bit expensive right now but I see laptops being able to convert into a powerful gaming pc/workstation just by being docked.

When I last looked at their pricing you could keep using their version you subscription expired on you just could get any updates for it until you subscribed again, is that not the case anymore?

Not sure what the ability to capture enemy builders/settlers and use them to build your roads should be considered. This has been in every single main civ game as far as I know.

If you played Alpha Centauri and liked any aspect in it then I wouldn't get Beyond Earth that aspect has probably been cut from Beyond Earth (I have played both)

How many people were actually fired or laid off from this? There was a bit of a kerfuffle with temporary unpaid leave and some people working without pay for a bit(they got back pay latter) but nobody lost their job.

I mostly use this because limited data plan, makes it use a lot less data if you already downloaded the area you are currently in before hand while you were still on wifi.

Yep, last mile along with schedule freedom gives trucks the advantage over trains in many situations. Trains are more efficient, but less flexible.

Trademarks have to be maintained so there is no "kind of like" however the strength of the trademark is eroded a good bit for being a common word.

Pretty sure it is "license hell" between EA and Firaxis (maybe a third party?) so Beyond Earth is about the best we are going to get. Do wish this wasn't the case as I loved AC, terraforming was great especially being able to

Nice thing about cheeses being named after cities/regions they were originally made in is that different languages don't use different names. Bad part is that you gain no information about the cheese itself from the name when this

This is why I wish more cell phones could take advantage of VoiP using Wifi. Having the option to use wifi for calls is nice if you have terrible cell signal but great wifi thanks to the faraday cage you live in.

I agree that the last column of the chart is pretty much worthless. The one that tells the amount of gas left in the tank is good to know.

This is not a good comparison as the majority of electricity is generated by steam engines.
