There are several thousand, if not million of Australians that would disagree. The ability to round prices by ten or twenty cents at a time is a luxury that cannot be afforded by everyone.

Just as a point of interest, Australia removed the 1 and 2 cent coins from circulation back in 1992. Prices have been rounded to the nearest 5 cent value when paying with cash ever since. A comment on this thread said that it's madness, but

One of the things that always killed me about the Forrst experience was that sure, it had great pagination, but it was only one particular page/view. If you were navigating snaps or code posts individually you were stuck with manually click

I don't see jQuery going anywhere any time soon. On the other hand, I don't hold out much hope for jQuery UI. The majority of the development effort appears to be going the way of jQuery Mobile these days. They're establishing useful conven

I love Square's work to date. The way they've changed the retail and hospitality industry for the better, and looking damn good while doing so. That being said, I can't say I'm a huge fan of the Register icon. Even the Card Case icon is str

A massive boon for us has been the ability to rapidly prototype UI concepts for clients. People definitely prefer interacting with tangible objects over flat wireframes. The more complex the UI paradigm you're trying to represent, the more

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole "same syntax as jQuery UI only slightly different" class structure. Maybe change to an "fb-" prefix?

I struggled to find the demos from a deep-linked page. I think a nav item called "examples" would be handy. It's the most important thing I want to see with this kind of software, as the proof is really in the pudding. Also investing the ti

There's just far too much shit-slinging for me to even consider evaluating it. I mean, cool, mention where your product does something a competitor doesn't. But repeatedly go for the jugular (with incorrect facts) and it really reflects poo

This is quite the eclectic mix. There are suggestions here that are great for beginners (learning JavaScript before learning jQuery, to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals) and yet there are some excessively fine-grained suggest

In regards to momentjs and timeline, the reason I chose to develop with jQuery.Gantt was because of its lack of dependencies. I tried jQuery.GanttView and that required Date.js, which got torn to shreds earlier on Hacker News for its poor h

The overall design and UX is mostly unchanged, and frankly still a bit lacking. Hopefully if the original author of the plugin (prior to my changes) accepts this pull request then hopefully he will be open to some UX changes.

Cool, but a slight bug with the UI. You can only drag the handle to resize the windows if your mouse is over the resize element itself. If you mousedown and move your mouse quickly, it will go outside of the element and things will then go

How are you going to float a value to the right inside of a native select value? How are you also going to style the value separately (font-weight, color etc)? All that is really available is optgroups vs. options.

I hate to be that guy, but you need to put your line-height where your mouth is. .entry_content needs to be 1.5em at the least.

Apple at least pretends to be limited by technology, eg: battery life for Flash. It would take about 15 minutes to prototype it with a jQuery date selector and Highcharts supporting legacy desktop browsers and mobile devices alike. Nothing

Missing support for the canvas tag really isn't relevant when IE offers VML and others offer SVG. There are some okay cross browser charting libraries out there, Raphael etc. And then there are the absolute stunners such as Highcharts, whic

I couldn't find a mention of Flash, canvas, HTML5 etc. so I can only assume this still uses their Flash charting. In this day and age that's really disappointing and short-sighted on Google's part. By not being able to view the charts (in f
