I especially like Firebase tutorials and docs. After finishing tutorial on Firebase first launch I immediately knew where and how can I use Firebase in the future. When the time came we used it for real-time worker/web-app communication at

Video translations are vetted by our trusted reviewers, but this raises a price a bit. Also sound quality can be really good, done by a voice talent, but this also raises a price a bit.

1. the prices get even lower if you need our service regularly. As a reguar customer you'd also get dedicated translators for each language, which means voice consistency across all of your videos. 2. we will. We have a quick demo, but plea

We'll do the voice-over directly on the video. No video production skills needed.

True. These translations are reviewed but were not dubbed by a voice talent. Since we're using our web technology for recording, the sound quality will never be a studio production quality, but neither will the price :)

Xhosa is our most exotic language. But will try to find ChiSukwa too if needed.

I think we need to. It deserves a credit, because we use it and we didn't pay for it. CoffeeScript makes our lives easier, almost eliminates bad practices and removes brace clutter from the screen, making the code more readable, understanda

Our video bucket is a few TB in size right now, file-sizes ranging from 10MB to 1GB. Not one file/upload broken until now. So I guess they fixed it.

Dropbox has a filepicker https://www.dropbox.com/developers/chooser , you can also use filepicker.io for more services support. But Dropbox doesn't support per-request CORS as I read on their Forums.

filepicker.io is a little bit more heavy-weight on the browser. But I really like it. It's THE start-up of 2012 for me. This post was intended for the people who want to have a specific and stand-alone building block just for S3.

This Chrome bug is affecting all the businesses that rely on voice recording. Still waiting for a fix, while users are going away from real-time web chat services. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=157613

We didn't say anything about technology stack: we host on Heroku using Sinatra and Ruby, Backbone.js, HAML,CoffeScript is used for frontend, the awesome Firebase for real-time communication with backend workers, which run on AWS/written in

It's been a rough ride for us regarding browser compatibility. In the beginning we wanted to support them all, but then quickly boiled it down to just Chrome. It's a really good browser for prototyping. At first we wanted to use native con

We're thinking subtitling might help with dubbing efforts but we won't go in subtitles direction for now. Amara has this field covered really good. Long term goal is to become a YouTube for non English speaking users :)

Awesome product. I tried to play a little, but the things are moving way too fast even on half the speed (on AutoScroll). I suggest that besides tab numbers that are moving fast, you also make the last one sticky on the edge. PageScroll is

Awesome crowdsourced teaching. I just tried the 3D Art class and it's great. I especially like community postings of their 3D work. One passionate bunch.

I love the product, it has great potential. I would pay $10 to create a tutorial personally and $50 as a company.

I liked the challenge. It's only limited to web hackers though. iOS/ObjC or Android/Java developers are cut out pretty much if they've never done web coding. Also the hardcore coders that do algorithms and and such. These people are necessa

Done. There are. But which ones do resonate with people, that's the big question. This one did mighty good actually, quantitatively speaking. But qualitatively looking at this option I agree with you, the term is pretty edgy.

We're currently waiting for the approval in the app store for iPhone. Haven't made anything for Android yet, waiting for a few pokes on the demand side :) like this one.

We're thinking to make it closer to smaller teams and individuals in the enterprise and then they'd take it bottom-up from there. Thanks for the awesome feedback.
