I guess that means that VMWare are very skilled in calculating exactly how much they can hike the price / squeeze. Same with oracle, and all the other vendors that play this game. It kind of makes sense, if you're using VMWare, yo

Yep... back then, the internet was a way people would discuss and organize their real world interests and activities, like clubs and usergroups would organize their next meeting... and then meet, off the internet. Now, it's all just on

It depends what kind of business... there are all sorts of weird and wonderful accounting / financial calendar inventions like the 4-4-5 calendar, fiscal years ending in June, bond day count conventions like 30/360, etc. I do take

Not 100% boss-specific, but... * regularly generating AI-slop code changes that nearly work, and then trying to hand over to someone else for "completion". this is often a pretty terrible experience, and more work than just having

If you get your own plane, you won't have a problem finding a terminal without TSA. Going through TSA is not a condition of using a government airport, it's just what happens if you use an airline. In any case, being "governm

AI can build anything... within the tiny slice of the economy/human experience that is data/software. It turns out there's a vast universe out there involving physical products, real estate, agriculture, plumbing, sanitation,

I don't suppose you've actually, you know, read the constitution? If so, I'd be fascinated to hear about which parts pertain to, or don't apply at airports that should? The main thing people seem to find difficult to com

It's all very tedious. This happens a lot with pretty mundane staples like socks, underwear, bedding, towels, umbrellas, headphones, ... These are all "semi-durable" items that get a lot of wear and tear and inevitably need t

I don't hold a lot of hope for TDD if the tests are AI-generated from the AI-generated code... which I see a lot.

The 767 2-3-2 layout is my favorite, with only 1 middle seat per row, yet still two aisles so you can use one while the other is blocked, or walk little loops if it's not.
