I personally never saw much of a quality drop from models put through Heretic if that amounts to anything. They have been working quite well on small local models so far.

I think Hugo is enough, if you want a web admin interface or an editor it goes into the CMS region which becomes bulky and hard to manage compared to just editing a few .md files under Hugo.

Depends on a lot of factors, AFAIK Claude Code (TUI Harness) does not work well with Deepseek, but Opencode is surprisingly good.

I host my own mail, I really did not have any issues for around 3-4 years i've used it. As long as you get your records correct imo it is also very easy to host and use, though Google keeps sending me TLS reports every day.
