I remember that the early CPM edition of WordStar didn't have an interactive spell-checker, but you could run it in batch mode and get a report. One way to implement that is to store say a paragraph or more of your document at a time i

I enjoy new stuff, even cheesy Autotuned pop, but I'm less likely to actively hunt for new things. Maybe priorities change. I do hunt around other genres a bit more, such as classical and eastern.

Rich people will find a way to use and experiment with this. They'll do it on a private island if they have to. Then dictators will be tempted to "build" better workers and soldiers to get an edge on "those pesky democ

China stole Microsoft's and IBM's (70's) near-oligopoly playbook: forced bundling, FUD'ing customers (scare them away from competitors), and subsidizing new products until smaller competitors fall. I suppose the "ro

It indeed amazes me how screwed up the big dogs' web apps are. The web & phone version of MS-Outlook was notorious for about 2 years. They did gradually mostly fix it, but it was a painful journey. The limits of current web standa
