From what I've heard the problem are divorce courts granting women nearly everything. That rigs the game against dads. Marriage is a huge liability. Men are gambling with nearly all their lives on their partner's unwillingness int

Imagine if you had to sign a consent form before entering a supermarket. They would go out of business pretty fast.

Except that it is used now to drive companies out of business. I honestly think that it has done more damage than benefit. IMO If the funds used to prevent people from applying technology would be used to fund research instead, the gains wo

It looks like you've single-handedly dismissed all the pixel art created today by saying that. The art direction was simply chosen based on the available technology.

Unfortunately, gtoolkit has pretty steep learning curve. And it's not different from Pharo gtoolkit is built on. I think there is a clash of concepts. It took me a lot of time getting used to the smalltalk workflow of experimenting in

My algorithm for commenting is simple: If I don't understand what a line of code does, I delete it. If the behavior stays the same then it shouldn't have been there in the first place. If removing the line breaks something I put i

If it's not going to hurt profits then it's probably not that important to customers. I'm yet to see a company that went out of business because they forgot to put a link in their email.

Pushing for an extreme can be counterproductive. For example completely avoiding lambda may bring the equivalent of constant abuse. Compare list.map(v => v+2) To list.map(add2) In addition to other problems with functions,

I remember fixing a bug where the checkbox "I want to receive marketing emails" didn't work and always wrote True to the database. All customers were receiving marketing emails. Don't assume malice. Those things are rare

I interpret self documenting as writing the what in the code and writing comments about the why . While minimizing the places where you need to explain your code. My role of thumb is that if it's not obvious why that particular line
