No need for the irony if it's not your cup of tea. :( But maybe you have/know a tool for creating custom linting rules, would love to check it out and use if so! The ones I've tried (e.g. semgrep) had ability to create rules

Yeah, it should substitute it after you use the template to create your own repository (as long as it doesn't have template string within the repository name). The action is run automatically, as briefly outlined in documentation here:

Yes, it fills these out after using the template. Currently these are predefined and change name of the package to the name of the repository, owner to github handle etc. You can read more about it here: https://inovintell.github
