It's on a different subdomain for support and hosted by something else. So while some domain ownership issues or poorly prepared dns changes could impact both, it's not the same as their actual service.

It's probably a typo, but a user rather uses short lived Cert, not a CA. CA (certificate authority) issues a Cert. CA doesn't have to be (and likely isn't) in users full control. Hosts answering to connections using that cert

To be fair, they do just part of that process. They don't generate keys at all (unless I'm mistaken?) and are vulnerable to that very issue discussed here. You can't easily create rules how to expire that access, or manage co

With so many post-apocaliptic sci-fis set in US (including B movies), I can't recall a single one that starts with pump and dump. It's usually pandemics. Yet here we are. Print prepper and gardening ebooks while you can, stay safe

For home it's not that bad, but there could be conflicts at some point. Your clients will send data to the Internet unknowingly when dns is missconfigured. It's better to use domain you control. I'm a fan of buying cheapest t

That's how I see devops applied in practice in some places - just replace ops with dev. Then things like this happen daily. I don't blame the author at all - we should do "works most of the time" projects more often and

That's an obvious, typical mechanism. A sad one. Now circle back to the main thread - you invest some multi-million budget yearly to have support, but you get just an excuse. People are expensive, but not "oracle expensive".

I feel a bit like that, when we in the team started to introduce agile practices. Corporate agile practices, of course. And while some of those aspects are important and we sucked at it, we are also stripping away any relation we had with e

I use Hacki mobile app mostly: it marks what I saw already, lets me favourite, upvote, reply, browse by top/best/ask and so on. It's easier to navigate large posts (many comments). Then I still come back to best/top/

Networking crowd probably think it's obvious. Because of things like Cisco cli, or even Mikrotik. Or "ip" cli as well, I guess. I never bothered to check what's the origin of that pattern.

If so, congrats on making it so similar to the actual product. Large manufacturers are worse with their product renders they use in ads. Still I have no idea why one would do that.
