At first I thought this was just embarrassingly wrong, but it's more than that; you fabricate details to try and make your point. This is what the SO login page looks like: http://i.imgur.com/4Z8P8.png SO doesn't push Facebook logins -- t

I saw "a link between two nodes in a graph." and typed "edge", and it filled in one further down the column: "a link or arc between nodes in a graph." apparently they wanted "arc" for the first one?

I can't believe the Tetris company actually cares that people clone Tetris. It's the cloned game, there must be 10000 different clones out for every platform in existence

How could this possibly surprise anyone? What will kids like more: 1) A TV 2) An interactive TV that completely encompasses the feature set of (1) while also providing endlessly more flexible and varied content

I used to use Read it later, but it was really buggy; it had a habit of overwriting saved pages so the page would have one title but a different URL. The developers were aware of the problem but seemed to be having problems fixing it. I hig

Usually the blame falls to the OP rather than the article. People tend to summarize titles, and by summarize I mean remove critical words that completely change the meaning

Does HN ever ban sites? I know some other site would do that, if the same domain got flagged too many times all submissions to it would just get banned

Yes, and minor screwups are unfortunate, so "I think" isn't particularly necessary. My point was that "I think" and "unfortunate" are overkill, it makes the sentence essentially useless

"'We think it's an unfortunate situation,' she told ABCNews.com." Are weasel words really necessary here? They think it's unfortunate that 40 flights were delayed? They think correctly

Er. Who forgot about those, they're trivial web capabilities I suspect every web developer knows. That's like saying "Some programming innovations you probably forgot about: functions, variables, assignment"

It just annoys me that the age where you're "an adult" is completely subjective. It used to be you're an adult at 18, which should imply you're done with age restrictions, but no, you can't drink for three more years. But if you go to the m

I watched the relevant minute from the clip, wtf is wrong with this guy? He made fun of the start button thing and everyone laughed, and then showed the super confusing Windows print dialog and compared it to a "747 shuttle cockpit", which
