Have a look at the temporary containers add-on which does just that. It is completely usable. I just create a permanent container for sites where I want persistent cookies.

I experience the same on FF 62.0.3 MacOS. Running uBlock and uMatrix and some other add-ons so I think there might be some less then stellar first party js to blame.

uBlock origin has a lot of features beyond being a simple ad domain blacklist. You can remove elements from websites at wish. It can spoof information about which fonts you have installed to websites, block WebRTC and more. A pure ad blocke

Mullvad allows for cash in mail payment. They also don't really have accounts in the traditional sense. Just a long account number that is associated with the payments. Really ticks all the boxes for me.
