The way I read their complaint was that they should have something on their website to indicate they were down. Anyway, at the time they complained, the status page also already said that the issue was identified and a fix was being rolled

I don't understand why companies simply don't have outages, it seems like it would be a lot less stressful.

Agreed, it’s like a big flashing neon sign that promises middle management a stage on which to act out all their worst impulses. It’s the exact opposite of “keep it simple and communicate with each other like humans.”

3M PFAS has poisoned the Westerschelde estuary here in the Netherlands and Belgium to the point where you can no longer eat fish from there, and the only thing 3M has done about it is complain to anyone who will listen that they unfairly ha

As a meta comment, this sort of verbal judo to put words in peoples mouths is really becoming common. Whenever I see a comment start with something like “It sounds like you are saying” I know I’m in for a wild ride.

I assume what you’re feeling is true but it’s a pretty unusual read on the memorial and I’m sure you’re right it is not a popular way to look at it. I suspect that’s why some people jump to assuming there’s some kind of secret agenda - actu

You’re probably right. Cartoons are weird.. uncanny valley stuff feels even weirder to me, but maybe doesn’t really matter.

Maybe you can set it aside as a tech demo, but the ask to please show this to your children feels somehow creepy to me. They are still so young and impressionable, and providing them with perceptibly incoherent stories and imagery just seem

Researching semi-obvious things like what elements of AI-generated text humans mistake for being human-generated is part of the process of how people working on AIs work towards better generation. You’re just seeing how the sausage gets mad

At the risk of explaining a joke, the idea was not that it’s something that’s only ever been said before failure, but that it’s a quite funny thing to say just before one.

Down $42,000 since the “Fortune Favours the Brave” commercial - which is famously something Pliny said before setting sail for Vesuvius as it was erupting, and then dying.

I just meant they are giving their devices away to lots of streamers. It’s hard to find any electronics channel not sponsored by them, or where the host doesn’t have and is giving more devices away to viewers.

They’ve been giving their devices away to every electronics YouTuber, you really see them everywhere plus the sponsored ads. I’m not really sure how many hobbyists really need a scope like what they make, though.
