I think none of those, one that is focused on teaching and explaining your reasoning would be better. You can always do it humbly because the author may have some info you don’t that they came across when implementing, which is why it is th

Really awesome, thanks for the explanation. You can get some really wild bugs when you write your game in assembly.

Do you happen to know why the minus world is the way it is? Was it a level that was designed, or is it a level where it's rendering some random program or other data? I'd love to learn more about that part too.

Still sounds strange to me though I can understand your point. “One of our competitors” to me sounds the same as “one of our users”, and different from “one of our maintainers” when referring to someone who is not a maintainer of GitHub. I

I think it’s because they are the maintainers of their projects, not maintainers of GitHub. So calling them GitHub’s maintainers sounds off, even if GitHub depends on their projects. It’s a weird application of the transitive property. I su

Depends on when you mean by “used to be” but I was a teenager in the early 90s and there was definitely no such gate on availability back then. In fact it was almost the opposite (super mature, responsible kids weren’t getting any as far as

I don’t live in America so I can’t say if GP is right or not, but I don’t think GP is saying those aren’t benefits, just that those benefits are given out to everyone regardless of taking responsibility, so there’s no incentive for anyone t

There’s something a little creepy about referring to the maintainers as “ours.”

Notably, that quote is what the bad guys say and the story is that humanity actually can resist (if at great cost).

For what it’s worth, I’d only heard of the one you’re saying nobody has ever heard of so I thought it was a useful comment. What others are describing as soul mates I have heard described as an expectation of love at first sight, whereas so

Are you drawing a distinction between creating the model, which depends on viewing open source code and is presumably fine, and using it selling the model which may output licensed code and get you in trouble?

I think they are saying the training part itself doesn’t. It seems to be kind of a fine point, otherwise you could implement a license laundering AI by training it on a single codebase and asking it questions about it. If you end up with a

So just insinuations and “do your own research?” I’m intrigued as to who the nefarious entity is with their shadowy plan to protect pollinators that the media is conspiring to hide.

Aren’t there still some wild dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, and everything else humans have domesticated? Or are you being very specific about what went extinct, or maybe predicting future extinctions (in which case I’m curious more abou

I really loved Shenzhen I/O, it even got me into electronics. I started watching Ben Eater’s series on breadboard computers and built some similar devices to what I was making in the game around a 6502. It’s pretty cool that a game can

Can you help me get on track by sharing what you mean by its never a faux pas to show up overdressed? That’s the part that just seems quite surprising to me in my experience. I would say it’s just as easy to show up over as under dressed in

So like wearing a tuxedo to a job interview is kosher? It’s not wearing a pimp outfit, but surely there are so many examples of wearing inappropriate fancy clothes that you can’t really say that it’s never possible to overdress.
