Could be a reputation system implemented, I'm guessing each scooter has a unique identifier, folks could report a scooter left imporperly. This would hurt the user whom left it there's score.

Your right, they can be at your secrity module cost. I currently (as I understand the state of pos) see pos useful for other the other blochain ESC stuff and pow for a safe currency (BTC)

I guess you could say that the fact it's using a block chain, any form of processing the transfer of ip/rights of the hash desired, can be out sourced. Bitpay, meta mask,. Etc Side note I see no reason to use pow for this applicat

Yes, but the idea is now we can remove the custodians out of the mix. Why pay airbnb? The networking, booking, hopefully identity verification can all be done p2p
