I feel like driving a car from "the cloud" is just asking for trouble, surely no one's planning on doing that right? Maybe a-sync updates like where the geofence should be, or new software would be fine but not something real

I've noticed longer transition times between towers, but while connected I can pull down a lot more data so the impact on streaming is fairly minimal for me so long as my "buffer" doesn't run out too soon.

At my local stadium, which holds something like 40-50k people I have no issues with mobile throughput. However the whole stadium as of 4 years ago is now full of small cells with maybe a dozen or so in each "section" so I'd

I used to feel like this person, and I'd find myself alternating between burnout and enthusiasm every few months as project work ebbed and flowed. Going between the two peaks was exhausting and every crash back down to burnout felt hor

I'm not a huge fan of app stores in general, but I have to give Apple credit for these articles they do. Never too long, high quality and interesting ones like this come along semi-regularly especially the design-centric ones. I'v

That was my thinking as well, and assuming they're still cloud-heavy (it's been years since I've checked) this could potentially be an expensive event for them. That opens up a very interesting for of protest/attack that

You pay for other services (or devices in the case of pixels) and happen to get the VPN as well. AFAIK there is no way to directly pay for just the VPN. Point being, there's not currently any extra "VPN-only" revenue and no

Back when I first looked at them 5 years or so ago, they were trying to sell me "hyperconverged infrastructure" which was basically just a thoughtfully designed blade chassis. Their software seemed very nice, kind of a software-de

That seems like a crazy number. I work at a company with not a heap more than that and we have just as many if not more software products + HEAPS of wildly different hardware + RnD for all kinds of things + retail and ecomm.

Nope, I'll be dead so I'm not interested in creating an ongoing security hole for myself to worry about while I'm still alive. Important things like banks already have next-of-kin covered, insurance is sorted out etc.
