Serverless web... "use any source available".. Wow, feel free to share the code of that with us. Would be quite powerful and draw HN interest IMHO.

Indeed interesting demo of browser-to-browser downloading, very light. Anybody can start a Napster-style service: it only needs a webserver+JavaScript (or trust a tamper-free copy). WebDHT is fascinating, is it leeching of a KAD overlay or

False and misleading title. _serverless_ file sharing says title, yet the technology "requires a HTTP server". "Its completely anonymous as no data is ever stored on the server". Incorrect, only mild protection against sniffing and spoofing

"for the first time in history domestic box office grosses surpassed $10.7 billion" As the article says, especially when taking inflation into account: The End Is Near for Hollywood. All due to piracy.

The vital small print from the article: "they are expected to meet again early Thursday morning (local time), and will need to have the resolution finalized, if they decide to go further, before the conference concludes on Friday." So it wi

Indeed, Suprnova shutdown due to legal proceedings. Real jailtime is now coming to Piratebay founders, they are even on record as begging for reduced jailtime, after the verdict. It's simple: the exist node in both Tor and Piratebay has all

Could not stop reading, good 6-pages. Finally, an easy to understand algorithm for discovering happiness. Not easy to execute. It states the obvious, but in a rational, nerd-compatible (VC-compatible) way. Recommended reading.

Yes, that is the interesting bit. A lot of people are not in Bitcoin for the money primary. They are hoarders or altruists. Once some person tries to cash a $50,000 BTC account it will go down. The market depth is simply not there it seems.

"I predict that it has at least another thousandfold increase to go in the coming few years" Clearly a 'Bernard Madoff 2.0' pyramid scam. Only profitable for the early adopters, pay by the last suckers whom enter.
