Is there a reason why this still relies on a server? I would have thought that the better option would it to be completely P2P, without any servers whatsoever.

I think that the issue that a lot of BSD people have with systemd is the development model and consolidation of projects around systemd only APIs which are difficult to integrate into non-Linux platforms. That combined with the systemd deve

So they support computers that have a Z80 in them, does that mean that a C128 port is possible in the future?

I believe that the keys would just be taken by the machine, that way you'd be able to verify the vote was placed without the risk of revealing the identity of the voter attached to that card.

You could give out randomised voting smartcards with an embedded private key at every polling station, which would preserve the anonymity.

They should have prevented special characters from being entered at the server level. Not a lot you can do with just the latin alphabet, numerals and a space.

So what sort of performance improvements have been made? Is Mach now in the same bracket as other, newer microkernels?

Great to see this project is still alive. I know this probably has already been asked, but when can we expect the Commodore 64/128 versions?

The biggest limiting factor at the moment with Hurd is their choice for the base microkernel, currently Mach which hasn't had substantial updates for years. While Hurd improves its userspace support, the should also revisit the idea of

What if.... there was an effort to replace the Mach kernel with Minix3? Or if Debian decided to do a Debian GNU/Minux3 release?

Ah okay then, I might have to pester him to see if a port to the C128 is possible. I know that the Z80 in that only runs at 2mhz but it would be an interesting experiment.

Well it's an effort, and several popular libraries are releasing bindings for their products using Rust. And for two large companies to be working on something as large as Servo, even before the language went 1.0, there must be somethi

Tbh I2P would be a more suitable platform to build a messenger similar platform to Ricochet, in fact there was an effort to get exactly that up and running called Invisible.im, but that later merged with Ricochet to avoid duplication. But a
