I do not use cases, and have dropped my naked iPhone 13 Pro Max many many times (with $29 screen replacements via AppleCare, I'm fine taking the risk). This phone has literally hit concrete and has yet to crack, a testament to the dura

If you have theft & lost insurance on your device, I would rather just let them seize the device and report it as stolen.

Yep. And that's why I permanently uninstalled Adobe software in favor of Photopea and similar alternatives.

I'm not following. Can't she just take on debt and eventually file bankruptcy and get it discharged? Bankruptcy only has temporary repercussions, and is objectively preferable to death, which is permanent. Medical debt is the lead

The concept of quantifying inflammation is definitely interesting - best of luck and excited to see how this plays out!

I have both in front of me at the moment, and the MacBook just blows the Windows laptop (which cost twice as much!) out of the water in terms of real-world performance & battery life. MacOS is far more efficient in terms of memory usage

Wow, that's fascinating! I just ended up down the rabbit hole reading Avery Wang's "An Industrial-Strength Audio Search Algorithm" (linked in this thread) - it's such a cool way of "fingerprinting" pieces

Glutamate is the primary excitatory neurotransmitter, and GABA is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter. They’re supposed to keep each other in balance (to an extent), so increasing GABA should theoretically lower glutamate. Perhaps that

We’re witnessing a reversion to the mean. A lot of companies are facing a tough reality - especially those with poor cash flow.

Wow this is actually pretty impressive (I work in the digital health space and have navigated the absolute chaos associated with wearables integration before). I think there’s tremendous potential for Vital and am looking forward to playing

I'm going to be blunt here - there is a genuine shortage of good senior candidates right now. I would nix the take-home assignment, or drastically minimize the size, and ensure salaries align with, or are above the current market rate.

Another example is tetrachloroethylene (also known as PCE or PERC) - a commonly used solvent in dry cleaning. It’s absurdly toxic and can contaminate water, soil & air for decades following a “minor” spill. https://twitter.co

We knew that rates going up was inevitable, and that crypto is essentially a sponge for excess liquidity. We knew that inflation was inevitable (to an extent) given the Fed's actions over the last two years. Upon observation of the cur

In my case, I had to get a new DisplayPort cable (not all cables will support 120hz). Things were rocky at the start but I believe Apple also released an update to improve compatibility.

I can run my Samsung CRG9 (a 49” UW monitor) with one of my M1 machines (an original 13” Pro w/ M1) at 120hz with no issues, FWIW. I suspect it would probably have issues running 4K @120hz however.
