In 2004 John Kerry lost the election due to two things. One of them was his support for gay marriage being legal. Stupid commericals like this one were made: https://youtu.be/4AzLrn5JVIo?si=bYtAbriIbp0AVrxP Obama was adam

If you agree with the first quoted statement of mine then I gather you retract this statement: it’s people with means who can’t afford healthcare

You are wrong; it’s a local, state, and federal issue. And even if you are right it is still the case that Republicans criticised Michelle Obama for advocating for healthier school lunches. Are you incapable of admitting that it’s stupid

Democracy is a means for empirical truth finding that’s resistant to manipulation. This is obviously not true. …educational and healthcare overheads have exploded while outcomes have gotten worse. Ther topic is medical research. What i

If that worked then drunk toddlers wouldn’t win elections promising the baseball bat. Thus is a claim that you will be unable to justify. There are lots of examples of good governance. The current actions by the administration are a ver

Every society regulates speech. There is no society that allows everyone free speech in the absolute sense of the word. If another society regulates speech differently than yours then you can always accuse it of violating free speech. The

I don’t believe this qualifies as an ad hominem. The person was not attacking the individual but rather making an observation about the dynamics of ideological thinking.

I’m not a lawyer. NIL may be a murky area of this law based off of case law. Maybe this action is appropriate in the sense of being legal and within the norms of Presidential power.

By definition, when talking about access to healthcare a person of means is someone who can afford it. What is true is that there are lots of people who think they are “middle class” who can’t afford access to the system. 13% of the people

I think Title IX needs to be updated. It’s a fact that men’s sports, in general, generate more interest and money. As such, if athletes are going to be paid then male athletes on average deserve more pay.

? I begin to suspect you are being deliberately obtuse. I gave an example of something that is legal and Constitutional that Congress could do (remove all Supreme Court justices) that would totally upend the political norms of the country.

Of course they do have such power. Each department/agency has legislation that spells out its scope. An underling in Department A doesn’t have the authority to act outside the scope of its Department A’s power/purview.

The most striking thing to me is that Elon was in the oval office answering questions. It’s hard to understand a President emasculating himself in such a public way. Elon’s kid was there too. It’s truly bizarre to see the lack of decorum
