Personally, I don’t, for some (though not all) of the same reasons I don’t buy BitCoin.

This isn’t actionable, though. If I’d bought Beanie Babies or Stanley Cups at a very particular point in time, I might be up 1,000% at another very particular point in time. If I’d bought Bitcoin in 2021, I might still be down almost 50%. N

> And now maybe the "original remote workers" are affected, too. I think there’s a lot to this. Those of us who worked remote for many years before COVID probably developed more efficient ways of working over time. Then the pan

Thanks for saying this. I’m strongly considering leaving a job primarily due to the meeting culture. It’s just incredibly wasteful. We can spend weeks talking about things I would have knocked out in days in a previous role.

Same issues here on M1 MacBook Pro. Most of my company is Windows-based so I don’t think they endure as much pain.

Do you find that this creates a degree of background stress/anxiety? After many years of being a highly effective IC/consultant, I’m still trying to adapt to being primarily a manager with a software engineer title, and not sure h

Good advice. I just did the 400 amp upgrade. Our 3200 sq ft house was still on 150 amp service from the 1980s, and going to 200 amps just didn’t seem to add much capacity relative to the cost. Was about $12K to go to 400 amps with two 200 a

Tons of top trims? Sure, but only because it’s the best-selling truck. Nevertheless, the vast majority of F-150s (like mine) are XLT trim or lower. Moreover, you might be surprised at how small the price premium is on F-250/350 over th

I was seriously considering trading my ICE F-150 on a Lightning (even had my house electrical service upgraded), but at this point I can’t justify the price. The Lightning has quickly gone from the everyman’s electric truck to something uno

Or in the defense of another. It wouldn’t make sense for a robot to take a life to save its own, but it might make sense for it to take a life to save your mother’s.

I agree. After some frustrating experiences applying and interviewing for jobs at the kind of startup-sized companies where I’ve spent my entire career, and fearing that my age might be a factor (I’m about to turn 40), I applied on a job at

I have the same question. They talk about the "meta fields" of a slice. Is the problem that these "meta fields" (e.g. slice length and capacity) are passed by value, and that by copying them, they can get out of sync bet
