Allright, it means youtube is soon gone for me: deno is just a front-end to the abominations of the web engines from the whatng cartel. It would be a good compromise if I could have such an engine which I could build with a simple C compile

And still serving/protecting those 'internet scanners' and hacking script kiddies? Because as a shelf-hosted, I had to block a ton of AWS ipv4s because of those.

Indeed, we need a real alternative, something really bringing new on the table: we need a modern web engine we can compile with a simple C compiler. Those "browsers" are just front-end to the web engines of the whatng cartel.

Don't use microsoft github: they recently broke noscript/basic (x)html support for their issue system. They are going fully whatng cartel web engines... what did you expect from microsoft?

Proton titles on steam are illegal in tons of countries: there is no official support and real money is involved. Some say there is some special refunding policy with proton titles: well I have not seen any "legally binding" docum

It should sponsor an attempt at making the netsurf browser libs handle javascript with quickjs. They are C, namely bringing something really significantly new: you could build a web engine with a simple C compiler.

BTW, some forgot one of the C preprocessor features was to handle simple namespaces (for "One-Compilation-Unit"). That to avoid symbol colision. Some will say it is really painful to deal with, and I can tell those are liers since

RISC-V going forward, one of the only beacons of hope in the silicon world. I need one of such devices for my self-hosted services. And it will be time to port from C to assembly, really, because we have finally a CPU ISA which is 'swe

Real ML is data center based, then, until you have enough electricty production and performant cooling, you could have 28nm ML chips, it should not matter in the end. But while doing that, China should not forget to keep doing its R&D f

It is dangerous for RADV which already has its own issues. And when you look at AMDVLK, you don't want those devs anywhere near RADV.

Yep. Future of GPU hardware programming? The one we will have to "standard"-ized à la RISC-V for CPUs? The thing are the vulkan "fences", namely the GPU to CPU notifications. Probably hardware interrupts which will have

Another pane of AMD GPU R&D is the _userland_ _hardware_ [ring] buffers for near direct hardware userland programming. They started to experiment on that in mesa and linux ("user queues", as "user hardware queues").

The more real-life C compilers, the better. Unfortunately, we do not have any c++ compiler written in C anymore (probably the biggest mistake in open source software, ever). For many c++ applications, no salvation in sight. For system softw

RISC-V has no PI lock like ARM or x86 and x86_64. RISC-V has to start to seriously defend itself, because it is a death sentence for ARM ISA and and could start to cast shadows on x86_64 in some areas slowly but surely. Some people will try
