LOL, it is the other way around: do you have sources that selling software is not legally entitled to technical support? And proton/wine is unreliable in time (I know) as compat can be broken at the first unfortunable patch proton side

Ok, if you don't want to understand that technical support is legally required in tons of countries if you sell something, I cannot tell you much more.

When you sell a product, technical support must be provided as a legal requirement in tons of countries. Not the case with proton(wine) titles on elf/linux, namely illegal. Easy enough to understand this time?

Don't do drugs mate. But the right way to fix this, is valve hiring tens to hundreds of advanced system devs in order to QA (replay the games, 100%, at each patch proton side or game side) and technically support (omega-hell, because o

What are you talking about? There is no official and legally required technical support for proton, requirement in tons of countries around the world. The second there is a payment with real money, it is a scam. In other words: PROTON = 0 B

Not win11. It has to be explicit with win11. That said, this shows the sabotage of dual boot by microsoft making it hell, this is proof, and thinking that all motherboard BIOSes will have properly tested secure boot configuration is a dream

win10 is not revelant anymore. What about win11? And for instance the game anti-cheats (more anti-open-source than anything else though...) which require TPM/secure boot?

Distros will ignore UEFI secure boot. You have to test with win11 (in dual boot with your fav distro) and some software requiring UEFI secure boot (maybe its status is displayed somewhere in win11 settings).

UEFI secure boot is not getting in the way? Namely is secure boot can be still enabled even though the system is dual booting? I know that some windows game anti-cheat will now deny some games to run if secure boot is not enabled. And last

And how you would install a dual boot with some mainstream elf/linux distro? Is dual boot still a thing with all the effort from microsoft to make that hell or impossible?

I would have prefered a quickjs based js game engine because it is coded in plain and simple C. (unless node.js has finally a quickjs/mujs backend)

In the light of all that, there are still people unable to understand why computer languages with ultra-complex syntaxes are really an issue (c++, microsoft rust, etc...)

I pointed out that some people seems to get good results at porting c++ to C using "AI"(LLM). And big mistakes require big fixing.

cproc/tcc/scc/etc are C compilers not c++. If you want to compile a recent c++ compiler (gcc/clang), you must have already a c++ compiler (one of the biggest mistake in open source software ever was to move gcc to c++, c

_Roughtly_ speaking, X11 is only there for old games and the steam client. It is even worse with the steam client since the main executable in still 32bits.
