This is a really solid, nuanced review that I felt was pretty fair given my experience with this latest crop of Macbooks. I've posted in the past that I feel like Surface Book is a device that is not aimed at me. Sadly, I am starting t

This is all about fixing a mistake that never should have been made. They did the UWP split around the time of Windows 8 and since then have tried to prop up the Windows Store with Windows Mobile ports, XBox games, and other ventures. It’s

I would love for more companies to embrace this just to open up the candidate pool for positions. There are so many positions at Microsoft, for example, that I would have loved to apply for, but they require you to be in Redmond, and I&#x27

I think it will take a hardware redesign at this point, which I hope comes with USB4 that allows them to break dock compatibility as well. The 15 inch version doesn't need to detach. Just let it flip around like a ThinkPad X1 Yoga, the

I always look at the Surface Book and want it to be my next laptop, but I feel like it is a jack of all trades that doesn't really excel in any one area - and therefore, I have a hard time justifying it over other machines. Most powerf

I wonder how many people buying Macbook Pro's this year are trying to load up before Apple starts the ARM migration, thereby avoiding what may be a rough first year or two

It's a little odd to get used to flipping the keyboard back around to close, but I've found that you get used to it pretty quickly. I almost always keep it propped open using one of the two grooves in the keyboard, even when I&#x2

IMO the iMac Pro exists because they got caught with their pants down on not having a Mac Pro ready to go in time.

I think it's more about justifying the case. I feel like Apple "pros" or bloggers really spend a lot of words justifying how each new accessory or device fits their use case instead of just saying "It looks cool, but it&

I own the the regular keyboard folio that launched alongside the 2018 iPad Pro and have mostly enjoyed it so far. I wish it had more angles to tilt the IPad at (similar to a Surface's kickstand) but I realize that's not practical

Actually, I see a lot of non-Apple laptops offer HD (1080p) displays, with the only upgrade option being 4K, usually at a price premium of $300-$500. That's even more annoying to me. Lenovo is one of the few manufacturers I see that al

I use the 11" iPad Pro with the pre-existing keyboard case and I really enjoy it. But this one looks so unstable and inflexible. I already get annoyed that I can't position the iPad in a variety of angles like a Surface Pro can.

2020 is when they are due to refresh the Macbooks (based on the four years of the 2012->2016 cycle), but I'm afraid the improved keyboard on the 16" is all they will change. Might have to wait until 2023/2024 to get rid of
