Isn’t there a chance this could show up in Macs provisioned by enterprise IT before being assigned to employees who sign in with their own Apple ID?

This is great advice and has made me think how I can squeeze out 30-60 minutes every day to do something similar. I think one area might be just making my setup more portable - instead of having a fully built out development environment tha

I second this. I really learned a lot about React from this site. The exercises are designed in a way to make you stretch your knowledge and skills without making you feel completely lost.

Agreed - and I love how the way that Obsidian stores its files is very transparent. Just a folder on my local drive. I've tried Craft, Notion, Bear, etc. but always had concerns about data portability when I scaled up to thousands of n

It was security consulting, and there were two types of projects - the one week "pentest in a box" type engagements, and then much longer "process/implementation work" which was focused on things like redoing somebo

This 100%. I find myself not buying that much on Switch these days because it just runs so poorly. To the point where I question why I even have a Switch at all.

For my 20s, I did consulting, first for a Big 4 firm and then a smaller agency. I got to fly to a bunch of places, work on some cool projects, and learn a lot. There was another side to it all, though - a real lack of control or say in what

A bit from Bo Burnham's new special "Inside" has really resonated with me. He essentially says that people are increasingly treating real life as some sort of coal mine - a place where they go to extract something (an experie

I started using Notion last year and became increasingly uneasy about how little control I had over the notes and data I was entering into it. I switched over to Obsidian since then, which keeps my markdown files in folders on my local mach

I also think the pandemic has changed some of my behaviors as well. I used to enjoy playing on PC at my desk a lot, but now that I work at the same desk for ~8 hours a day, spending more time there at night is incredibly unappealing. I'

There are different reasons why I’ll go through periods of prolonged gaming. The first is that I’m looking for something to unwind with - gaming can be a quiet, solo activity that lets me just tackle objectives or challenges in a fairly lin

I enjoy Terraform, I just wish there was a more graceful way of setting up a new module to use backend state from the get-go. Having to create the resources with local state first, then re-run terraform init after adding the backend configu
