We shouldn't because it isn't science. It's junk epistemology, relatively speaking. We should because it's a cheap way of managing knowledge in our society. So there's a tradeoff there.

We already substitute "good authority" (be it consensus or a talking head) for "empirical grounding" all the time. Faith in AI scientific overlords seems a trivial step from there.

Astrology is one of those techniques where the uninitiated ran away with the metaphors and turned it into a big LARP. Give it a thousand years and much of our science will look much the same.

House in shallow valley. Basically bottom of 3 hills. Multiple floods yearly. Basement pretty trashed. Beat it with 2 ditches, a drain, a berm and 2 pumps.

Dismantle the "rts for billionaires" that our society has become. 99% of our effort is wasted fighting each other (in "business" and otherwise). We don't need it. Maybe we could go totalitarian world government. Or

BLIPVERT!! That word came to me a couple days ago. Now I have made the connection. https://youtu.be/PJP-Ilw_xaY?si=THvq0HE-5GisP7FG That sound reminds me of the howl of a billion demons. Lovecraftian or Goetian or a forest

Andy got mental about art. That is, thinking was an important step for him, in his process. He went far down that road. Some artists don't do the mental thing so much. More of a conversation between just the hand and the beauty sense.

The keyboard is the weak link. We need a better voice to text. One that tunes into its user's voice perfectly without getting distracted. And that you can subvocalize at. An optimized spoken language for talking to phones too. Somethin

In articles like this our study of consciousness is strongly colored by our preference for thinking and writing. And that's arguably unavoidable, being thinkers in a society and such, but there you go. A "clearer" study would

I see your point. It implies that the way we see and think is bound to this mass of people that we are in the midst of. Like a pebble in the midst of an avalanche. How could you unbind yourself? For better seeing etc.
