I think the invention of Python 3 was an unhappy thing. It seems true that "there are still a lot of companies on 2.7" and it would be natural that they think "the last decade of Python work isn't really useful". T

I still use Python 2.7 and all I need with strings is UTF-8 byte string nowadays in Japan. If you read Japanese, read the following blog to know the current circumstances: https://note.mu/ruiu/n/nc9d93a45c2ec And

Glad to see this Dart feature appearing in C#: Asynchronous Streams Now you can "yield" Task<T> (~ Future<T> in Dart) and construct LINQ chains in an asynchronous fashion. I hope it streamlines reactive programm

I have recently tried Flutter and found it light and smooth. The article explains the reason well. I think Flutter is promising.

Sorry for my poor English. I meant it as implementing Scheme or some such interpreter with first-class continuation in FORTRAN77 by the method. One will be able to write mapcar in FORTRAN77, but in the same way as one write the IF special

A method to implement first-class continuation and call/cc (call-with-current-continuation) as found in Scheme is given in the article. The method uses nested "while" loops plainly and does not require the implementation lan

No, neither. That behavior is implemented in the same way as in the Lisp in Dart ( http://www.oki-osk.jp/esc/dart/lisp-en.html#4 ).

Certainly not. The foldl is a part of the TypeScript program that implements the Lisp. By the way, as for "while" in the implemented Lisp, it is defined with recursion and will be executed with tail-call optimization. See (d

The Lisp in 1,200 lines of Dart, which has macros, quasi-quotation and tail-call optimization ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9903332 ), was translated into 1,390 lines of TypeScript. It runs on browsers.
