Jump cuts in UI can be very disorienting however. I think animations are at their best when they're short and help tell the spatial model. Otherwise only used when the UI will take a while anyway such as loading in new content, or as s

Hopefully they do a follow up study if they can get better data sets from the big companies. But they estimate based on Washington-wide stats that they cover ~63% of workers with their data.

I think your assumption (1) is incorrect. Quote from article: "They've cut their payrolls, putting off new hiring, reducing hours or letting their workers go, the study found."

The reason they excluded it was because the data they were provided for those companies did not differentiate between workers in Seattle and workers outside. That said the economics of hiring an extra shouldn't be significantly differe

Powerwall would certainly help with storage, wouldn't it? And consumers have an incentive to buy Powerwall to decrease the amount of power they need to buy from the grid.

Having it tied to income definitely makes it less crippling for those who have trouble in the job market after college. Like most grads after 2008 in the US for example, who got unlucky.

Even from a self-interest standpoint though it's probably not wise of him to keep the full share, since it is a red flag to investors and decreases the pool of equity available to people who are working at the company.
