Worked in the Compact CLR Execution Engine, IL Verifier, and other stuff. On (1) both were done at MS but ended up as proof of concept. Post Sathya Microsoft has moved to a more open model, hence the full blown CLR on Linux.

Few more missed include (Device CLR's were in C, Desktop/Server in C++): (1) CLR for Sony/Ericsson phone OS and (2) Variant running on linux (in 2001/2002). I worked on the Compact Framework team back in the day so there

Most iOS developers writing 'custom' UI, etc. are just customizing UIKit controls. Same for Android. Not many are creating UI controls from scratch with custom hit testing, drawing, and accessibility handling.

Apartments wont change the dynamics of SFH in the South Bay/Peninsula given local zoning rules. The main driver of price seem to be the local schools.

There's also a cost issue: If you have a one stage furnace - your only option is a one stage AC (vs 2-stage or variable speed AC). You need to upgrade the furnace/blower to take advantage of the more efficient AC model Mini-Splits

That wouldn't surprise me, last I looked Whole Foods had a substantial amount of their house brand (365) in inventory. Amazon can just tap into the existing pipeline and rebrand if needed.

I stand corrected - thank you. I don't have a windows machine anymore but as you said spy++ can tell you all you need to know. Hilarious to still see hungarian (hwnd - handle to a window).

Sounds like they took that from Android where IIRC a scrollview could only take one child. Coming from Win32 Android, back in the G1 days, always had its own idiosyncrasies.

That's because WPF like winforms used native windows controls under the hood. Calls would be marshaled via pinvoke.

Sounds like Nespresso or Keurig for juice. The amount of coffee in both are fractions of what you would use in a real espresso machine or pour over. Those companies are probably minting money and so everyone is going to do this for 'X
