For entertainment purposes, I’ll give you another example of someone I encountered on my repos. One guy opens 2 extremely long and conversational issues describing how my software is really ugly and it should be more like other software. Th

No man, you don’t understand. I take every step possible to avoid people opening issues, they just either disregard the 4 steps between the problem and the GitHub issue, or just come out swinging saying I should just implement it “because m

I don’t think you understand what it takes to support “unsupported devices”. I already explained that it does take effort, so without that screen you’d have a broken app. Also stop complaining, it’s a free app, get a new phone already.

Why not? It’s honestly a pain entering fake data and then realizing it won’t work on the next page. Easier to let the browser autofill it. I junk-fill some signup forms and use Hide my Email for others, but it’s never less work than just

To be fair, you’re using a 8-year old device that has been unsupported by Apple for 2. I’m sure some websites already aren’t working for you and I’d expect a “web service” app wrapper to have similar limitations. To support your device, the

Ghost is my soulmate. As a OSS maintainer, I feel that. Not a week goes by without some random dude coming to my repos expecting I implement whatever they ask, or else be called a dick. Particularly: you don’t have to use mpv if it doesn’

The funniest thing about HTTPS is that its transition/enforcement exposed a lot of people who don’t understand why we need HTTPS everywhere, even if there are no logins (!!!) To this day, if you open Twitter, Facebook Groups or Disco

I smell lawsuit. Apple should not force a company to change their ways outside the Apple ecosystem for a chance to publish an app. I bet the EU won’t like this one.

I don’t understand one part: why can’t a creator just decide to not appear in the app? Are they changing the donation structure for everyone regardless of their interest of the Apple platform? Why should YouTubers be bothered by this chan

That’s what it does, and that’s wrong. Unspecified properties are not equivalent to 0. Example of code that this tool breaks: p { margin: 10px; } aside p { margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; } This is

This is not how CSS works: padding-right + padding-left are not equivalent to `padding: 0 something`, that 0 is overriding existing padding from the element. The whole tool should be scrapped. I suggest working on code for PostCSS/cssn

No they’re not. Tabs are tabs, they’re not windows. Next thing you tell me is that they should implement virtual desktops and loading tabs remotely. They are already tiny window managers, and may as well lean into it.

Spam makes transparency impossible. Like you, spammers have to spend months figuring out what works and what doesn’t. If Google is clear, it’s just abused. You can see this every day with free services and they either have to make it harder

I like your last point. Also in practice this state does not happen in “apps”. Before the user reaches the screen, you must have set a default. If you have default, then “deselect all” will eventually revert to that default.

JS code can run, but browser APIs have been removed and changed over time. Anything related to security and privacy, or browser-specific APIs. 20 years ago the web was “Internet Explorer” so we also had nice functions like `ActiveXObject()`

I also get lost in types sometimes, but the point of types is that they help you. Typescript lets you just use `as any` and `as unknown` as you please, but you want complex constraints you will need complex types. There are some type librar
