With my privileged position in having the freedom to sit at home and work without interruptions, I can only try to be empathetic and imagine the hardships hundreds of millions of people will face. There is no compulsion that I know of, but

As an Indian, here's a more cautious perspective: 1. I am going with the assumption that community transmission might have started at some location; but with that assumption this 21-day lockdown becomes an imperative and excellent step

I see BitWarden recommended quite a bit here. Does anyone know if it is possible to share passwords between 2 accounts when using the self-hosted version? Or is it limited to teams?

Not a fan of the concept of TDD as is, but I have adopted it as the approach to bug fixing. Usually I start with reproducing the bug in specs, with at least one or more specs failing due to the bug. Then I go on to fix the bug and see the s

I was in CA last year with the major wildfires going on. Not there this time, so am curious if this approach worked this year. If yes, I suppose that controlled, scheduled blackouts is a positive move (not a competent one given that this is

Yeah, that can perhaps be a visual improvement. As it is right now, it is anyways not a problem for folks like me who do not have enough HN karma to downvote any comment. :)

Why is critical info so often missing from important articles like this one? Where do I find out if my MacBook has been recalled? Is there a tool somewhere for me to check or is it based just on a combination of year and model?

I believe I am an optimist. Last several months made me a realist. Toned down my habit of almost compulsorily seeing the good in people. I am less trusting of new people now. Made me more aware of my own characteristics that I had not given
