This may be the first time I will stay on an older iOS version. I can’t understand how they figured it would be an improvement over what we had lol.

I love Zed as an editor/IDE without ANY AI/LLM features. I think the AI support in Zed is actually pretty decent and I'm still using it out of habit (actively trying to use more TUI for AI). But at the same time, it's my

Not really, even at work I got to test couple different AI solutions and the experience is always slightly different, even if the editor is the same, for the most part. It's the tiny things like using the prompt template, or opening th

Thanks for the link. I'm not an emacs user and I'm more in the search of something like opencode [1], but I think it's not polished enough yet. I actually want to contribute to open source, so maybe I should create my own thi

Here my problem with this: I don't want to be jumping an editor/IDE every 6 months, learning new key bindings and even more importantly, getting used to a completely new look. In a space that moves as quickly as "AI" doe

Kagi makes Orion[1] and it's paid. I haven't used Orion myself, but I pay for Kagi and have been a very happy user for over a year now. [1]: https://kagi.com/orion/

What a dope website. I used to run every day for a ~year and every since I'm on a decline. Would really love to get into that habit again.

How does GitHub Copilot stack against API access directly from OpenAI, etc.? Is it faster to use API keys than Copilot?

Off-topic, but it makes me laugh that companies will list their “investors”, “advisors”, etc. on their company page, but not the people working there. That said, Tailscale is one of the products that just works.

Author here, good point, i didn't go into data migrations. The counter point is that migration files won't work well for anything but smallest tables. If you have a relatively large table, you likely end up batching updates anyway

Awesome article, out of curiosity, how much time did it take you to implement all of that? I have a somewhat similar need, but for a totally different space hence the question.

It's not that I don't want to run them locally. It's more like I would like to a) use HTTPS when developing services b) give each service a unique hostname c) run all my services on the same port and there's simply no ea

That's really cool. I only wish open source projects were this integrated. (Imagine if making a PR would estimate your AWS cost increase after running canary Kubernetes.) Also what's really cool to see is that Facebook's inte

Last few weeks I’ve been trying to implement my own GitHub Actions runner, a little bit as a fun side project and a little bit to improve observability.

I love how Zed integrates the chat into IDE. You can essentially edit any part of the history, remove or redo the prompt. I just started to use this feature a couple of days ago and I couldn’t be happier.

Talos doesn't support RPI 5 yet, which I learned only after ordering 2 boards and trying to add them to my existing cluster on RPI 4.

I have all my devices in a Tailscale network with MagicDNS enabled. This way you can just open http://RPI:8080 and that should just work. (I am not affiliated with Tailscale in any way.)

My 2 cents to start the discussion: Postgres is my go to choice, because I like that I has a lot of built-in types and I love CTEs. PlanetScale (Vitess) was great because I loved the branching and schema migrations a lot, but unfortunately

I started to use testcontainers for it, however my biggest problem is that each test needs to start its own container which is slow (right now I have about 20 test cases in my PoC). testcontainers allows to stop and start containers and to
