The guy is a quack. Bunch of stuff he says in his Bitter Truth talk is false. For example, Japanese consume much more fructose sugars than an average USA citizen. He somehow skipped that, when he used the Japanese as an example of healthy d

It's a bit off-topic but what is the conclusion then, is Wim Hof method safe to do long-term and in a safe environment without medical supervision?

That does seem pretty low. I make 500 Euros less and I'm a junior Dev in Croatia, wouldn't move to Germany for that kind of money.

To illustrate my point, animal agriculture done today and in the past has invisible tail risk that can wipe out significant amount of population (livestock to human viral or bacterial disease transfer), but someone will point out that it ha

I'm pretty sure no one has done the tail analysis for pesticides, cars, nuclear or hydro, before they were introduced en masse. I'd much rather have close to 0 deaths from all of the above guaranteed, when catastrophe happens. I&#

Nuclear power unfortunately comes with invisible tail risk. No mathematical model can predict it. Unless power plants are built deep below the ground eventually something will bring the catastrophe.

In my experience, almost every case of trying to replace arrays with bitsets resulted in worse performance. Indexing arrays is definitely faster. Bitsets also do array indexing but have to target particular bits too. If I want to index 1309

I'm a bit skeptical that bitsets are more performant than arrays, indexing arrays should be superiorly faster.

If you have the smallest superpermutation for N digits, then you can construct a bigger one by adding the extra digit with a simple rule but it won't be the shortest possible. It just turned out that the conjecture was easily disproved
