I use FTP & SFTP on a share hosting I have had since high school. Old PHP and static sites that don't really benefit from added complexity of anything more than dragging and dropping files or editing on the server directly. Popular

I didn't mention fixing anywhere. Having spent a portion of my career as a graphic designer, letter spacing / kerning was used in literally every print piece I ever made, so to suggest they are to be used as provided is prepostero

I love typography but decided to follow the trend of removing custom fonts from my websites as the value add is actually very, very low. A lot can be achieved with some simple letter spacing and line height, as well as antialiasing correctl

Twitter can be really great if you take the time to curate who you follow and don’t get overly upset when accounts share things outside of what they do (like a pixel artist sharing random photos, etc.) and avoid the trending section. I’m aw

I've worked on select weekends to make my life easier, those were worth the investment. Working yourself sick seems like a type of mental health issue people don't address, stuck in a hussle cult.

I'm from Nashville, TN and live in Seattle, WA and recall one particular instance on a date here when some girl was trying to get snippy & sassy about the "pen" vs "pin" issue. She and many other people here, an

Honesty is a great policy but you have to live honest, which is hard. > To most of us, honesty often means cruelty. But to Blanton, honesty and compassion are the ones in sync. Previous Thread: https://news.ycombinator.com&#x2

These stories always make me think of contracts, and how truly crazy some of them really are* (valid "across the universe"?!) that people get sucked into and what they end up signing away for a chance at stardom or wealth by tradi

Is there a list of what exactly was lost? Does anyone actively seek out and salvage this sunken treasure? I hate to think of another Garfield Phone thing in the future with something more dangerous. https://time.com/5561165&

I tried ligatures and different letter combos and none of them ever stuck with me. I have used M+ MN Type-1 Regular as my terminal and programming font for years, I started because it was narrow but it's been my go to ever since. http

We do this to a large degree with set office hours for questions and most meetings. Personally I get more work done once the sun has set and churn out the "best" work then. "Best" being the fewest silly mistakes and it w

I was first introduced to this concept through emulation, specifically Super Nintendo & Arcade work and would eagerly watch change logs. It is amazing to see it really step by step, and even now it still feels like magic. - https:&#x2F
