And in between all that is a sprinkling of truly high quality journalists who are doing none of that crap. As I said elsewhere in this thread, I really hope they'll find a new home somewhere - where the context for their work is not be

I understand that the topic is contentious indeed, but I agree fully. I tried to be balanced in my comment, but even hinting at a certain possible content profile caused some upset it seems. I also see now that they've published severa

There's a rhyme that ends with "go broke"... I have seen a number of rather toxic Vice articles in the past few years, I wonder how profitable that turned out to be? I have a vague memory of them being edgy and interesting, b

The Android version is pure rubbish. My favourite thing is perhaps how they auto convert everything to emoji even on my (S21U) mobile where my keyboard has direct emoji input. I like my text based smileys dammit - please let me keep them! :

Thanks, I'll have a look into that! My biggest beef with Shorts is that it's the equivalent of having the shelves full of lollies and junk food if you're trying to be healthy; it's far better not to have any available if

Agreed - YouTube Family, and all child accounts are covered. Some of those ads were truly atrocious for a child to watch, especially - if you're in Australia - those for WorkSafe.

Yep, of all my subscriptions, YTP will be the last to go. The experience truly is a premium one, only marred by the inability to disable YouTube shorts. (I recently made near exactly the same comment in a recent, related story thread - but

Try it on a Samsung! Then it'll say you're already on Samsung .. (I'd like to see that it looks like too.)

Everything is upper case and absolutes these days, so many appear to have lost the capacity for nuance; it's turned into a shouting match for our attention.

They'll only hit you once, and not again when you've stopped moving. So as long as you don't land on top of a tiger snake, you'll be good. :) Source: Have hit plenty of trees MTB riding, and seen snakes, but fortunately

And you'd be mad to put one at the front of your bicycle. In poor conditions, most any car driver would logically think the rider is travelling away from them. (There are quite a few mad people in this world, having said that).

That's awesome, cat level longevity. How would they fare as indoor, backyard dogs taken for twice daily sedate walks though? My personal (probably unpopular) opinion is that a lot of inner city people should not have the dogs they have

Long form YouTube is amazing. I just wish I could completely disable Shorts from my YouTube Premium. It is the diet equivalent of eating raw sugar with honey on top - it just wants to suck you in with stuff you had no intention of watching.
