Equates to roughly 150 annual payments, so that's enough for your main and two alts for 50 years. :) Side note, the AUD monthly of $30 - wtaf? I've been away for a while, they seem intent on keeping it that way.

Then disable the new default behaviour, by using the provided setting? For 99.999% of the users, I reckon this is a good change. And for the rest they've thoughtfully provided an option to revert.

Late reply, but yeah the delays in switching inputs is pretty mind boggling. Especially when you need to do it straight on startup - it's SO sluggish on my 6 year old Samsung. If the remote had hard coded input buttons instead of all t

Yeah, the headline felt pretty click-baity indeed. I just made a similar point in a sibling comment.

What's heavier - your average EV, or an average US Godzilla sized pickup truck e.g. RAM. My Model 3's roof would barely clear the headlights of one of those. And it looks like it weighs about half too, even with that large battery

Just buy any TV with a good display and switch to the HDMI input? That's what I've been doing for nearly two decades now, with a HTPC to control what I'm watching. No need to enable wifi for what's essentially a dumb dis

In case it wasn't clear I took a jab at the horrible visibility of the tank like vehicles that the US appears so fond of. The Cybertruck appears a lot safer than some of these behemoths.

Fair question! My assumption was that the wifi access points would be connected to eg gigabit fttp, not wireless.

Appalling. You'd need an extremely strong reality distortion field to advocate for it. I can only guess it's a way for the telcos to offload 5g traffic. In the Android world, if Samsung/Telstra introduced something similar in

Yep. I had range anxiety far, far more often with my old petrol car than I have with my new electric. I've set my charge threshold to 70% now - so that's what I start with every single day -representing about 400km. I'd have

I happen to be reading 1984 for the first time right now - that book was published in 1949, and gee did Orwell have the EU scoped out - even though he kind of missed by a couple of decades. There's so many real life parallels that I&#x

The automatic (#1) steering wheel heater would help you with that, it's the one feature I didn't know how much I needed. And that's just from Melbourne, Aus, where it gets down to about -1c to 2-3c (30-37f) at the most. :-) I

That's a big part of TikTok, isn't it - it seems designed to make kids feel miserable and to have mental illnesses. (Not at all destabilizing society, of course. Because of all the positive things it offers. /s)

I must admit I never knew about the line frequency, thanks! It's sort of random that it was the same. Aus voltages are a bit up and down; it's actually around 243v at my place, according to my UPSes. I use an APC Voltage regulator
