Right there with you, very satisfying to listen to - and looked very nice and clean - so I was immediately ready to buy it or at least sign up for notifications so that I'd get reminded when it comes out (if that was to be the case). W

Stalls are very easy to feel in DCS World with Simshaker/SoundModule, and a couple of under-seat transducers.

Purely from memory: It took a few years for hardware to catch up the computer game Crysis when it was released, to make it run smoothly. Pushing the limits of existing hardware, it looked truly spectacular when it came out - and many would

Cries in Australia numbers.. There are 79 sites in total (recent list1), and a different source gave me 1958 for USA (October 2023). With US population ~14x that of Aus (~350m vs ~25.5m), the ratio of chargers in the US is over double ours,

It's a 100-150w difference. It all adds up. This also means you don't need to run the fans in your system as high.

In gaming, especially simulators: The 5800x3d and then the 7800x3d has proved how exemplary performance benefits can be gained in certain use cases, in some cases outperforming Intel with less than half the power usage (if not a third). Lim

Ahh, that's pretty cool - thanks for that info! I played Eve for a good while (more than a decade) and the complexities was one of the appealing aspects, but unfortunately at one point the time between my sessions increased more and mo

Eve Online (aka spreadsheets in space) players past and present might enjoy the reference that was made in the article. Was it an in-joke? "For example, Ngai had to calculate the market value of a fleet of spaceships using real data fr

Yes, and you get to adjust each degree of movement using sliders - so you can go from zero to lots, depending on how you like it. Eg for driving I'd have some minimal movement, and less responsive up/down and tilt (rotating your h

Oooh, thanks - will check it out! I got myself a 4090 earlier this year before the price hikes, so I'm hoping to add VR in 2024. Cheers. EDIT: The FOV is pretty crap, but - if it's this light , headchecking would be far more natu

I just want a good device for seated HOTAS / wheel flight Sim/driving sim use, with a reasonably decent FOV. My old OG Lenovo Explorer was ok for Elite Dangerous as a novelty experience, but I found everything pretty much subpar.

My N-2 is a 6850k CPU based system, ie Broadwell-E. I'd love for Microsoft to allow it to run Win11, on paper it meets all the requirements, and I also bought the hardware TPM module. Crazy annoying. Also, this was from a time when Int
