Yes. In particular (for me) One UI by Samsung. Their new S10 phones are a fantastic upgrade, and the new software is a major part of that. Last versions of Touchwiz weren't too bad, but One UI lifts the experience to a new level.

I have the OG X1C (i7/8/256). I got a free battery swap included in my purchase, and the guy who came out had it done quite quickly. The 2012 is still going pretty well for me and quite useful as my #2 dev machine. I have a much h

But it's not that simple. No other company can legally sell OS-X computers; some of the software on the platform is Mac only. So if you're in the Mac ecosystem then making a switch to Windows or Linux can be a major hurdle. I&#x27

Using a 6.7" phone now (S10 5G), with size L hands (when buying bike gloves) it's surprising how fine it is to use one handed in general. For typing I do need two hands, but the same was the case for my older smaller phones. I do

Yep, the ambient function is great; Sony has really nailed it for use in the office. I'm seeing lots of coworkers picking this up.

So I'm not the only one here with a 21:9 (3440x1440). It's pretty frustrating!

As a non-smoker who can't stand the smell, and hate smoking with a passion, I for one would rather people vape all day. At least it's only affecting their health then. But yeah, banning all of it (with priority on getting rid

For the open office, my Sony XM3s are extremely easy to take on and off in an instant - and offer extremely good cancellation, and OK sound quality for programming. My Audio Technica ATH-IM02 earbuds in comparison require very careful posit

Agreed. I grew up watching "Yes Prime Minister" and anything Monty Python in Norway. Has served me well in Australia. Further to this, I've also worked on my diction using a number of available resources such as https:/

Nice! Honda have always put some great effort into their designs. I had an Accord Euro Luxury '05 some 14 years ago, and it was such a pleasure to drive around. Still regret selling it. It was the first semi affordable car on the Austr

I recently considered cloud backup for my photos; could easily have paid for 2TB of Google Drive however Google's reputation in the past couple of years has really nosedived (in my eyes). I don't trust them anymore, they'll j

Ditto. Google Meets didn't work for a while, then it did. Now it also has a dark theme. I've swapped to Edge Beta on my PCs and Brave on my Android.

Cheers. I'm a FTE presently, but have always got to look forward so whilst no immediate pressure I've learned that there's really no resting on one's laurels. And yes can confirm that when I had to go through the process

Thanks, you've provided some great insights here - and appreciated those links. Will buy that O'Reilly book! Mid 40s myself, stayed in one tech stack for too long but have been redeeming myself in the past few years with .net core

Whilst it seems good to break up this market, it also was rather interesting to see Apple whinge about monopolist market behaviour. Pot calling the kettle black; how very hypocritical.
