My S21 Ultra has a QR scanner built in, but no barcode. Are the old ones still used for such purposes? I've only seen QR codes used for eg contact tracing.

Thanks, removed Chrome ages ago in favor of Microsoft's Edge (the new one). Microsoft is fast becoming the good guys. It sets a default tracking level of Balanced, which blocks trackers from unvisited sites - you may then make it more

Absolutely. They are on fire lately, burning bridges with certain manufacturers who are now on my do not buy list. Won't name who here, best to leave his lawyers to deal with the flak, but it's definitely great to see those refusi

Oh, thanks Anandtech indeed! Finally a proper test of PCIE4 NVMEs - I'm very happy with my choice of the 1TB 980 Pro now. I mean, I was always happy with it, but I've now got that validation one tends to seek, showing that it was

Can confirm this is true for Australia. We frequently have outages and the network is in shambles. Just to make sure, rather than provide any incentives (there are NONE) we're going to introduce extra taxes for EVs to make up for lost

Excellent reply, thanks very much. My HTPC is ageing, but I like to push the life of my computers to the most. So needing an even better GPU or CPU when it should have been able to downgrade a tad is annoying.

I don't think people hate the touchbar per se, but the fact that they replaced a genuine row of keys to fit it in. If it had been in addition to a normal keyboard layout it would have been far, far better - in my opinion, speaking as a

XKeys looks nice! I've got a StreamDeck XL mounted under my monitor, in a button box; its capabilities as a macro machine are vastly underrated, although a few people are catching on that it's not just for live content creation. I

Does watching hq torrents of content I have legal access to count? :) My 960 GPU in the htpc doesn't quite have the bit depth that Netflix wants, therefore it disables 4k entirely. Bought the GPU at the time as it was the first with ha

Good call! This just keeps getting better, sharing the URL is such a natural thing to do but of course they need to add the tracking parameters to everything.

I'm taking this approach now too. There's a free text status message as well that's suitable for the purpose. App is going in February though.

You could check out YouTube Music (edit: changed from "music"), which has a long list of Philip Glass titles that may be up there with Spotify. I gave up on Spotify when they removed the widget functionality on Android. I know the
