Good - Boston VCs need a serious kick in the pants with how they treat entrepreneurs. I don't think this will be ego-busting enough to do it though.

Profitability - but VCs don't give a shit about that - in fact one told me that right on the phone... Maybe things will change.

Wow - love your 2 sites - would be awesome if you did a similar blog post. Those pictures->canvas things are getting pretty popular at local boutiques.

Nice - you got a business doing 400k+ in revenue per yr, growing nicely. I'm sure someone would be willing to put down a few to several million if you ever sold. Keep it up. Do you market mainly via word of mouth, pay per click, etc.? Seem

I don't know too much on his history tbh, but didn't Sun go to hell when he was CEO?

That is 1 reason - another reason is because competitor XYZ might have hired them a few years ago and they can get some inside info. They might say they don't share anything, but if Person A worked for a past company and he now is consultin

Tracking by IP is pretty useless with so many people on phones, aol, etc. Plus, multiple accounts per workplace, just doesn't work...

I imagine they had a ton of employees, server costs, other executives that got paid well. They could have also given out lines of credit to some players and never collected the actual $, etc.

Pretty scary that they collect data after you cancel unless you unhook it. What if you buy a used car that had OnStar - how is that legal?

We us twilio for call tracking - any one know how much a local phone number cost if you buy in bulk outside of twilio? We're at 50 cents a number since we're over 1k, but still pretty expensive...

Considering the companies that have won - I have little faith in whomever picks them to go on stage. qwiki (dead on arrival wikipedia reader) and shaker (virtual world with social graph, wow). Give me a break, not disruptive at all.

Just what I thought google should know. I felt like they don't already have enough data - I hope I can input my CC number and google wallet will decide what I need for me and just buy it. Living the dream...

It's not even investment banking anymore, GS might as well just be a prop trading firm - how many companies are raising cash now or doing private placements.

I don't even get how they can charge for these public records. They should be free. I wonder if a lawyer could sue to make them free???

How will it be useful? I just don't see the point right now. Maybe if Starbucks or some restaurant said check in and get 50% off - but that isn't very sustainable either - more like 1-off events.

What was the first act? Pump tons of $ into companies and never make it past the early adopters...? Outside of S.V. I don't think anyone ever checks in. I never have and I literally don't know anyone who has.

They have some type of restricted stock unit to get around the 500 limit with employees. http://allthingsd.com/20110107/with-500-shareholder-concerns...
