Or just defensively. The US invaded Iraq because they might have had WMDs. Other planets might have WMDs too. And they might think we have WMDs. Doesn’t matter if any of the sides actually do.

Habitable planets are the ultimate scarce resource. Once the earth is full we’ll have to find a way to move and there’s less than 5 good options in this solar system. In time they’ll be full too.

This applies only if they’re learning. Learning devs who do 100s of CRUD pages will have a DSL and metaprogramming toolkit by the time they’re done. Those who don’t learn will do the same thing, like an artist making 100 copies of their own

Whoa. I had no idea grids were so powerful. This is pretty much endgame in layout. Is there a similar system for iOS and Android? Don’t think auto layout or constraints work this way. https://caniuse.com/css-grid

Just to be clear, the AGPL still allows a company to take the the software as-is, without any modification whatsoever, and run it for their customers as a hosted service, right? That's why MongoDB had to add a new clause into the AGPL

Depends entirely on workload - there's 3GB RAM available, which is more than what we use for normal monoliths on Heroku. Payload limits are 6MB or something, which isn't hit for a majority of sites on the internet (each request, n

Serverless and microservices aren’t the same thing. You can deploy a monolith to lambda, and make a thousand small services on VMs or orchestration platforms. It’s purely a question of how to organise your code.

But these are both true. The problem is only if you assign a derogatory meaning to the word liability. If the company could provide the solution it does without a team, or with a smaller team, it would - the purpose of the company is to pro

The European nations have been dealing with Russia since before there was an America, and it’s not clear that Russia would benefit from forced occupation of countries that don’t already have a large population that supported it. Irrespectiv

Yup, I need that too. Will add it in. The Euro zone is reported as a single economic zone in the index (it's published by the Economist). I'm not sure if the prices are actually exactly the same, but from an economic reference poi

The big draw for me is working on the iPad. If you attach the keyboard it becomes a pretty awesome 'do anything' device, now that you can code on it as well. Can't build native apps yet, but seems like a future opportunity. W
