The water indicators are more like humidity indicators. In a lot of climates they're going to be red within a few months of normal use.

along the lines of automatically re-routing, tinc also has some neat anycast-like capabilities -- you can assign the same ip to multiple nodes, and the lowest latency/shortest route node wins

In a lot of ways the "12 factors" have overly simplistic views of the world. For instance, storing your config in the environment is fantastic -- until you remember a great many frameworks will dump their environment to the browse

Is it all that different from DocuSign's entire business model? I'm curious if the state of Texas recognizes agreements signed via DocuSign.

I think in the mid-long run, remote workers will scramble to get out of KY. State income tax is 6%, and if you live/work in Louisville you get hit with another 2.2%. I GTFO when I realized that my state/local income tax in KY were

If you're hit by a bus tomorrow, at what point do folks know to migrate off your never-to-be-maintained-again image? Don't get me wrong -- I'm not trying to discourage you from sharing configs and artifacts that work for you.

No clue. As I understand it, the author destroyed the signing keys, so updates aren't even possible. A fresh build with new signing keys would need to be flashed out of band.

CopperheadOS is a very questionable choice these days. The author lost control of the company and was booted by the business tool. https://www.reddit.com/r/CopperheadOS/comments/8qdnn3/goodby...

Based on the E/IGP comment, I'd guess they mean a routed layer 3 network that can speak routing protocols down to the host level. As opposed to the big ol flat networks that get pushed around frequently

Yes, it is entirely possible to do the right thing. The trouble is 9 times out of 10, the only place you find it documented is in some random forum post where cargo-cult silliness gets critiqued, rather than by the folks publishing these ho

This is currently how Help Scout deploys TLS certificates for Docs sites with custom domains: https://www.helpscout.net/knowledge-base/ I think we're in the ball park of 5000 domains right now.

Hey, at least they aren't bogged down by silly things like controlling what version of deps get installed. aspider depends on pyppeteer (with no version pinning) to download a copy of chromium (with no checksum validation).

My father was a garbage man when I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s and his crew stayed on top of pretty much any points promotion they found. This meant I grew up riding Pepsi bicycles, listening to Marlboro boomboxes.
