For it to be considered as such I think that it would need to be easily recognised by a relatively large portion of the world compared to other shows. Anecdotal but I have only 1 friend who watched B99, but almost all of my friends would be

Huh. That seems odd to me but I only open 1 project solutions with not more than ~5 files open at a time, with no other applications other than my browser running. But those CPU spikes upon each keystroke seems very odd indeed.

I don't think expressing one's opinion in a way that is not derogatory to anybody would be akin to being an asshole. Sure maybe the comment would've been a bit more appropriate at another time but they specifically complement

I will never comprehend how Hugh Laurie is british. His american accent in House MD was impeccable, and even his american-guy-trying-to-imitate-british-guy accent left nothing to be desired.

I would not think that Brooklyn 99 qualifies as a "cultural artifact". But I think I get what you mean. I think that what GP (and you) were referring to was the act of watching the show, which would remind the watcher of Andre Bra

Could you share the specs of your mschine? Visual Studio seems to run decently on my 4 GB laptop with an 8th generation i3 CPU. It does have an SSD though. It does not run perfectly though. There is definitely a difference in input lag betw

I think it is because of the usual HN-esque disdain for corporate products and their urge to exercise their freedom to choose other products.

I would think C# is meant to be a general purpose language based on that. Python too is a general purpose language but community libraries (which I think the support for C extensions helped with) enabled amazing things like scipy. Similarly

I stand corrected. I just looked it up and BG 3 does seem to be completely DRM-free, like the games you ported. Thanks for correcting.

Yet most of their sales come not from GOG but from Steam. ..and I don't quite get your comment? Games sold on GOG are meant to be DRM-free. It's a requirement for them to be on GOG, not something they do out of the kindness of the

What kind of DRM do you mean here? Since it's sold on Steam it automatically has Steam's own DRM. If you're referring to DRM like Denuvo though, I don't think BG 3 has anything like that. Which is good for us because thi

How beginner friendly do you think the book is? Asking as someone who's completely new to R (and data-related fields in general) who thinks the book might be interesting.

I disagree with you. "Learning" to use a particular documentation website (which, mindyou, changes its layout frequently) is not very time consuming. So a beginner should use w3schools while they see fit, and then move on to MDN,

I think what you mean by economies of scale are purchasing EoS. There are, I believe, many other forms of EoS that do not revolve around bulk discounts when buying raw materials. For example there are EoS that revolve around borrowing from

Is it .NET Core or just .NET? I think .NET Core was renamed to just .NET a while back but it's impossible to keep track of what's what after the many naming convention changes the team regularly makes.

You can't call any piece of evidence that happens to not support your theory as being an outlier. And even then the OpenAI saga is probably the most important development in tech in the last 10 years (conservatively).

I feel like this comment was made in bad faith. Brave Rewards, the thing you're complaining about, is OPT-IN. That means you had to manually enable it in Brave's settings. You're complaining about something you consciously en

So it is "extortion" if you are asked to pay for a service you use? A service that is available for free and is very hardware-intensive, mind you.
