Ghostty is gpu accelerated. It’s super fast, and tmux in it is a joy to use. That combined with NeoVim gives me an increadibly smooth dev experience in the terminal, something I had never have with iTerm2 and emacs.

I don’t review every single line that AI generates. I glance over the files to see if they meet my standards, prompt it to rewrite this or that portion, when necessary. Or change it myself. Writing code is the most tedious part, not reviewi

Haha :) I lived inside Emacs, used orgmode for everything, have written tons of Elisp, used org-roam as my second brain, used vanilla Emacs shortcuts instead of Evil (with a special keyboard settup using Karabiner Elements), did even my goo

When I setup systems, I thoroughly document them, test them, develop them according to architectural best practices. My AI assisted code generation is lightyears ahead of what I see in companies I have worked for. The best they —the compani

I work at a company with over 700 employees. And there are tons of use cases where a simple CRUD app is sufficient. Or where glue code needs to be written / changed for legacy systems. Or where an OS system like Camunda is deployed and

I went from Emacs to VS Code, then to Cursor, next to Claude Code, which is so good that I feel like I am having half a dozen junior devs at my fingertips, 24/7. Since Claude Code is cli based, I reviewed my cli toolset: Migrated from

Reminder to myself: My journal entries on my computer in Obsidian won‘t survive even a year after I die. My child probably won’t look into the thousands of files to find my journal entries. Whereas my paper diaries from 30years ago will be

Very well written and a joy to read. Yes, IDEs of the future will not look like those we have today. I too started with Cursor and similar VS Code enhanced IDEs. And ended up using Claude Code. And realised my terminal is more important for

Amazon manipulates your product searches. When you search for a product, it will push a few select brands and you won’t get past that, except you deliberately search for a specific brand. So it will limit your options. But it will give you

I moved to Claude Code, Ghostty, Tmux and NeoVim. Very happy with my setup. Not because of Cursor‘s pricing, but because in the end Claude Code is unmatched.

Tmux is a gamechanger for me. Being able to start a dozen different projects with one line (using tmuxinator): the server, tailing logfiles, activating venvs, running the docker container, all within one line of code: Awesome. Hadn’t worked

Chose the right tool for the right task. I‘ll go with R and RStudio or even Python for data analysis and statistics. Opting for Lisp is like trying to use a swiss knife to cut a tree just because you love your swiss knife.

I have started to write „organic“ content again, as I am fed up with ultra polished super noisy texts by colleagues. I realise that when I write (no so perfect) „organic“ content my colleagues enjoy it more. And as I am lazy, I get right to

Good Lord, this concept of „liquid glass“ is ugly. Not visibly distinct, looks blurry, not clear and sharp. And then they overlap with the content. I never liked the overlapping menus in Notability app either. This is a flop like the flat k

I absolutely love Trello. Visually super appealing, very fast interface with shortcuts, and an API that allows me to do all sorts of automations (although it offers automations out of the box). Will check out your solution.
