Why a superlative? For me it’s lots of things: My notebook, my editor, my terminal, my ide, my ipad, and so much more. So why „the“ most important? :)

Chomsky’s notion is: LLMs can only imitate, not understand language. But what exactly is understanding? What if our „understanding“ is just unlocking another level in a model? Unlocking a new form of generation?

I am a native speaker. And I find German to be a very ugly language. Pronounciation wise. Compared to French or English. It sounds like someone is constantly having a quarrel with you.

Consumes lots of resources on an M4 Macbook. Would love to test it though. If it didn’t freeze my Macbook. Edit: With the latest update to 0.185.15 it works perfectly smooth. Excellent addition to my setup.

Hangs on my M4 MBP when I open Clojure files. CPU usage at 130%. Other than that a beautiful editor.

I have my daydreaming while taking a shower. And I have my best ideas when I take a shower. So yes, disconnecting from digital devices has its value.

I do practice journaling, both on paper and digitally, been doing this for over 30 years. But there's nothing that can replace a video that I took from my grandpa where he would talk about his life's journeys for an hour, shortly

When you get older, you realize how memories fade, how they disappear, and that’s when you wish you had taken more pictures. I am not talking about young folks shooting photos for the sake of getting likes. I am talking about precious momen

I never thought I‘d belong to the group of people who never close tabs. Had read David Allen some twenty years ago and subscribed to his „inbox zero“ mantra. Until I realized I don’t have the time to clean up. I keep doing stuff, and when t

Thanks to this community I switched to Kagi a couple of weeks ago. And immediately paid for the service. It is what Google used to be. Non-polluted search results. Plus: I can view images! Google won’t show me too many images anymore, just

Nice! I use a combination of an endless bash (zsh) history with timestamps that I navigate via fzf and ctr+r and comments I occasionally add to commands via # at the end followed by my annotation so that I can rediscover the command. I do t

Yes, it’s super handy to be able to record an Emacs macro and modify large text within seconds, something that would take me half an hour. Yes, it’s super cool to navigate text at lightning speed. But honestly, I have seen engineers who wor

A 100% this. Germany is a country where you either are born rich or you work for someone else. Nothing in between. Everything is institutinalised. There is no room for founders, entrepreneurs.

Unfortunately it does not. Where I can feed Claude Code with a file larger than 256k, Anon Code (like Roo) will complain that the file is too large, using Gemini 2.5 Pro.

I love Claude Code. It just gets the job done where Cursor (even with Claude Sonnet 3.7) will get lost in changing files without results. Did anyone have equal results with the „unofficial“ fork „Anon Kode“? Or with Roo Code with Gemini Pro
